Mary Ellen Jones of Marietta, OK, was born September 17, 1916, in Burneyville, OK, the daughter of Ed and Joann Toles Pearson. She passed away Friday, January 11, 2008, in Mercy Health Love County, Marietta, at the age of 91. Mrs. Jones had been a resident of the Burneyville/Marietta area all of her life. She was married to R.C. Jones, and he preceded her in death in 1986. In the 1960's Mrs. Jones was employed as a housekeeper for a lawyer in Marietta. After retiring she was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her husband, R.C., son, Caleb, and the rest of her family. She was a member of the Pilgrim Rest Primitive Baptist Church. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Metha Rambo and Dorothy Douglas; and three brothers.
