Mary Alice Bucher was born April 25, 1927, at Rubottom, OK the daughter of Paul Bliss and Minnie McBride Bucher. She passed away Thursday, May 5, 2011 in Mercy Memorial Health Center, Ardmore, OK, at the age of 84. She had been a resident of Love County most of her life. Miss Bucher was a farmhand and also employed at Marietta's Bakery, Marietta Sportswear and at an Ardmore leather shop. Her hobbies included playing bingo and dominoes, working word search and crossword puzzles and playing guitar in the family's band which traveled throughout this area including in Ardmore, Oklahoma City, OK, Wichita Falls, TX, and Gainesville, TX. She was of the Pentecostal Holiness faith. Miss Bucher was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, David Bucher and Paul Bucher. Survivors include her identical twin sister, Martha Alice Bucher of the home; nephew, Paul Bucher of Marietta; nieces, Zirel and Juanell of McMillan, OK and Pauleen of Bakersfield, CA; and cousins, Bill Bucher, Lois and Glenn, all of Dallas, TX, Calvin of DeSoto, TX, Phil McMillan of Lone Grove, OK and Don Musser of Burneyville, OK. Serving as casket bearers will be Don Musser, Will Musser, Eldon Dean, Quentin Bucher, Paul Bucher and Phil McMillan. Honorary bearers are David Black and Joe Russell.
