Herman Louis "Lou" Niedens, 79 of Kingston, Oklahoma passed away Thursday, May 23, 2013 at the hospital in Durant, Oklahoma. He was born on January 11, 1934 in Russell County, Kansas to the late Rudolph Niedens and Nathalia "Dollie" Dumler Niedens. Lou was raised in Russell County and attended Hoisington High School in Hoisington, Kansas. He later graduated from Concordia Lutheran College in Seward, Nebraska. He married Linda Darlene Bessell (Hoover) on December 29, 1990 in Moore, Oklahoma. Lou joined the United States Marine Corps and served from February 16, 1954 to December 21, 1956. He enjoyed fishing, duck hunting, coaching and playing baseball. He is survived by: Wife: Linda Hoover, Kingston, Oklahoma Children: Bret Niedens, Camarillo, California Vicki Nowaczyk , Scottsdale, Arizona Rick Niedens, California Gail Niedens, Phoenix, Arizona 7 Grandchildren Brother: Robert Niedens and wife Pat, Park City, Kansas Don Niedens and wife Dorothy, Great Bend, Kansas Sister: Bernice Deines, Hoisington, Kansas Lou was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers; Paul and Gale Niedens and 1 brother in-law; Robert Deines. .
