Emma Mae Hood, 80 of Mannsville, Oklahoma passed away Saturday, March 15, 2014 at the hospital in Ardmore, Oklahoma. She was born on April 13, 1933 in Overbrook, Oklahoma to the late Fred Blancett and Bessie Powell Blancett. Emma was raised in Baird, New Mexico where she lived a short time. She moved back to Mannsville where she graduated from the Mannsville School in 1951. She married Charles Hood on July 26, 1955. They had six children and lived in Dallas until 1972 when she moved back to Mannsville where she lived the rest of her life. She attended the New Covenant Fellowship church and enjoyed reading and visiting with family and friends. She is survived by: Children: Vickie Matchen and husband Thomas, Dickson, Oklahoma Shelia Hannan and husband Sam, Mannsville, Oklahoma Becky Harris and husband Don, Mannsville, Oklahoma Sandra York and husband J. C, Mannsville, Oklahoma Dianne Hood, Westerville, Ohio Brother: Haskell Blancett, Silver City, New Mexico 12 Grandchildren Brandy Forguson, Amy Sweetland, Laura Grider, Greg Matchen, Kelly Petty, Rachel Martin, Mary Dawn Mitchell, Floyd Donald Harris Jr., Bobby Skaggs, Ellen Harris, Sylvia Washburn and Aletta Otter. 28 Great Grandchildren Emma was preceded in death by her parents, one son; Bobby Ray Hood, Brothers; Vernon Evans, Billy Joe, Jack, Bobby Gene, Kenneth, Fred and V.
