"Grandma Jeanne" passed away September 27, 2015 in Oklahoma City. She was born in Kingston, Oklahoma on February 27, 1925 and was a lifelong resident of the area. Jeanne delighted in her church, her community and her family. In her own words, "My primary focus was my grandsons, who fulfilled my life. My life revolved around the birth of my son, Gary, his care of his "mom," his marriage to Susie, and his precious sons. My life was full of love and devotion." She is survived by daughter-in-law, Suzanne Farris Payne, grandsons Robert Farris Payne of Oklahoma City, Clayton Landram Payne of Chicago, IL, Joshua Edison Payne M.D. of Columbia, MO, their spouses, Jason, Courtney and Emily, great grandchildren, Mason Farris Payne, Lucy Bee Payne and Grant Edward Payne, great neice, Lynn Fields and her family. Preceding her in death were her husband Thomas Edison Payne, son, Gary Edison Payne, parents Lillie Myrtle Riggs and William Clough (Wid) Landram, siblings Lillian de Simas, Geneva Turner and Harold Landram, 3 nephews and 2 nieces. Jeanne requested that in lieu of flowers, those who wish to may make a donation to The Baptist Childrens' Home for Girls.
