She was born September 17, 1924 in Paris, TX and passed away January 24, 2016 in Bellingham, WA. She took pride in her Oklahoma heritage and was happily counted among the early 20th century residents of Carter and Love counties.

She also was the epitome of the iconic "Rosie the Riveter" and her memoirs of that perilous time are in the archives of the Rosie the Riveter Memorial in San Jose, CA.
During her life she was an accomplished artist and historian. She was an active member of the DAR and former Vice Regent of the Tomo-Kahni Chapter in Tehachapi, CA.
Survivors include her four children, Linda Gail Jolly of Ferndale, WA, Judith Eileen Deming of Palm Springs, CA, Elizabeth Debra Bailey of Bellingham, WA, and Carwin Thomas Stanley of CO; nine grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and her sisters, Betty Anne Bearden and Mary Lou Rook of Rowlett, TX.
Rest well sweet mother and may the light of heaven shine upon you.
