Obituary


Joseph Phillip (Joe) Jesmer 68, of Kingston, Oklahoma passed away Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at the Texoma Medical Center in Denison, Texas.  He was born on December 2, 1947 in Dallas, Texas to the late Bernard Jesmer and Lydia Laberto Jesmer.  Joe was raised in Dallas where he graduated high school and later moved to Kingston where he worked as a Fishing and Hunting Guide and a Dog Trainer.   He married Karen Raye Summers on November 21, 1981.  Joe was member of the Holy Cross Catholic Church and enjoyed playing drums in his band, Kit and The Outlaws and racing cars.  He also enjoyed woodworking, painting, hunting, fishing, golfing and directing his grandchildren.

He is survived by:

Children:           Scott Jesmer and wife Dawn, Rowlett, Texas

Jennifer Jesmer, Garland, Texas

Amy Hammon and husband Timmy, Kingston, Oklahoma

Kevin Hunley and wife Nancy (Boggs), Wichita Falls, Texas

7 Grandchildren: Danielle, Blohm, D. J. Blohm, Scott Jesmer, Abigail Jesmer, Hunter Hammon, Harmony Hammon and Joseph Dean Hunley

Brother:            Patrick Jesmer and wife Patricia, Mesquite, Texas

Sister:               Rosemary Bynum and husband Jim, Dallas, Texas

Joe was preceded in death by his parents, brother; Bernard Jesmer and sister; Lydia Davis.
