Hattie Mae Welch of Marietta, OK was born November 9, 1934 at Leon, OK, the daughter of George E. Ivins and Oma Metilda Elisabeth Hogue Ivins. She passed away Tuesday, January 9, 2018 in Mercy Health Love County, Marietta, at the age of 83.

Hattie Mae attended school at Courtney and on September 22, 1951 she and T.J. Welch were married in Gainesville, TX. Hattie Mae worked at the Cookie Factory in Marietta and Marietta Sportswear as well as a cook at Greenville School. She was also employed as a caregiver at Bourland Village and truly loved the residents there. She enjoyed reading her bible, word searches, adult coloring books and playing bingo, but most of all she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren although she worried about them all of the time.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband on April 22, 2013; two brothers, Otis Ivins and Melvin Ivins; sister, Helen Betts; and daughter-in-law, Angela Welch.

Survivors include three sons, Dennis Welch of Marietta, Jerry Welch and wife Lynn of Howe, TX, and Kenneth Welch and wife Rebecca of Dickson, OK; two daughters, Pamela Blackburn and husband David of Wilson, OK and Evelyn Cohoon and husband Mike of Marietta; brother, G.W. "Dub" Ivins of Austin, TX; seven grandchildren, Chris Blackburn, Kara Hicks, Cody Welch, Seth Seibold, Jorie Seibold, Jenna Elmer, and Dalton Elmer; and three great-grandchildren, Lexis Hicks, Chris Hicks, and Bentley Hicks.

Serving as casket bearers are Cody Welch, Chris Blackburn, Seth Seibold, Jeff Hicks, Jorie Seibold, Kara Hicks, and Jenna Elmer. Honorary bearers are Dr. David Nichols, Rick Brannan, Frank McKay, and the staff of Lake Country Nursing Center.
