Joe Ella Gunter 73, of Tishomingo, Oklahoma passed away Monday, March 12, 2018 at her home in Tishomingo.  She was born on April 25, 1944 to the late Cecil Joe Pickens and Inez Perry Pickens.  She was raised in Tishomingo where she attended the Booker T. Washington School.  Joe Ella received her GED and later received an Associate Degree from Murray State College. She worked at Murray State College as an assistant to the registrar for 37 years. After retiring she helped with the ACT testing. Joe Ella enjoyed helping anyone and everyone with every need. She enjoyed going to garage sales and playing scratch offs.

Joe Ella was preceded in death by her parents, 1 brother; Cecil Pickens.
