Wilda Gene
Brewer
March 20, 1941 – October 11, 2025
Wilda Gene Brewer, 84, of Madill, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, October 11, 2025. She was born on March 20, 1941, in Madill, to the late Author Howard Little and Gerildlene Edmonds Little. Wilda grew up, lived, and worked in Madill all her life. She was an amazing seamstress and used her talents in the industry to help provide for her family. Over the years, she blessed many with the beautiful creations she made. Beyond her sewing skills, Wilda was also a phenomenal cook—especially known for her delicious desserts, candies, and her famous fudge.
On July 16, 1958, Wilda married Marvin Lee Blood. Together they built a wonderful life and were blessed with two daughters and one son. In 1984, she lost her beloved Marvin to cancer, but with great strength and courage, she continued forward. On July 11, 1988, she married Richard Brewer, and during their years together they enjoyed spending time on the creek, crappie fishing, and working in their garden. Wilda was a devoted and loving mother, but her greatest joy in life was being a grandmother. Known affectionately as "Nanny," she doted on her grandchildren, always making sure they had anything they wanted. Her happiest moments were spent surrounded by her family—cooking sweet treats, laughing, and sitting on the creek bank with a fishing pole in hand. We are comforted by the peace and happiness she now has, reunited with her daughter Tracy and her loves, Marvin and Richard, in the presence of Jesus.
