Wendyl Glenn 92, of Sherman, Texas, passed away on Thursday, October 1, 2026, at Avir at Memorial Nursing Center in Denison, Texas. He was born on December 28, 1933, in Simpson, Oklahoma, to the late Fred Glenn and Vera Orsack Glenn. Wendyl was raised in Madill, and he was affiliated with the Baptist faith. He married Oleta Mae Price on May 29, 1958, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He proudly served in the United States Navy for two years and then twenty years in the Navy Reserve. Wendyl was a devoted follower of Jesus Christ and spent more than 70 years serving as a minister throughout his ministry. Wendyl served communities across Marshall County, including Madill and Kingston, as well as areas in Texas, including Sherwood Shores and Sherman. He had a heart for people and a passion for serving the Lord. Throughout his many years of ministry, he was known for helping build churches wherever God led him. When he wasn’t serving in ministry, Wendyl enjoyed building birdhouses, putting his creativity and love of building to good use.
He is survived by his wife, Oleta Mae Price Glenn, and his children, Kelly Elmore and Roger Wendyl Glenn.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers and sisters, Herbert Glenn, Lavern Glenn, Evelyn Shaw, Doniece Glenn, and Patricia Fail.
Wendyl’s life was marked by a deep faith in Jesus Christ and more than seven decades of serving others. His legacy of ministry, service, and love for the Lord will continue through the many lives he touched.
