Warren Lee Mathis, 65-year-old Marietta, OK resident, passed away Monday, April 27, 2026, at his home west of Marietta.

Warren was born March 2, 1961, in Bakersfield, CA, to Vernon Mathis and Rama Waters- Mathis. On June 12, 2004, he married the love of his life, Tracie Hanoum, at Pioneer Village in Bakersfield. Together they shared 34 years of love, laughter, and life, including 22 years of marriage.

Warren spent his entire career working in the oil field, a testament to his strong work ethic and dedication to providing for his family. He was a man who took great pride in being a provider, protector, and steady presence for those he loved.

He will be remembered as a devoted husband, loving father, proud grandfather, and a cherished son, brother, and uncle. Warren had a deep love for the outdoors, whether it was spending time along the rivers of California, enjoying nature, or golfing. He also enjoyed collecting guns and knives, and those who knew him well will fondly remember his unique personality, including his love for wearing robes. Warren was a devout Christian man who was an active member of the Eastside Baptist Church in Marietta and was also a part of the Cross and Crown men’s bible study group. He treasured his family and the time he spent with them, especially his grandchildren, who knew him as the world’s greatest “Papa.”

Warren is survived by his wife, Tracie Mathis; his mother, Rama Mathis; his sons, Tyeson Mathis, Joe Parish, Caleb Parish, Mason Mathis, Chad Mathis, and Dillon Mathis; his daughter, Destiny Ward; his grandchildren, Ahlexia Mathis, Curtis Johnson, Aaliyah Johnson, Jacob Parish, Kaileigh Parish, Kynzlee Mathis, Zoe Ward, Axl Ward, Emy Ward, Donovan Mathis, Aubrey Mathis, Grayson Mathis, and Kason Parish; his brothers, Dale Mathis, Danny Mathis, and Brad Mathis; and his sister, Robbin Mathis.

He was preceded in death by his father, Vernon Mathis.

Warren’s life was defined by his love for his family, his strength, and his unwavering loyalty. He leaves behind a legacy of hard work, deep love, and lasting memories that will be cherished by all who knew him.
