Obituary

We are honoring our beautiful, humble, and joyful mother Wanda Jo Wells. Wanda, affectionally known as Jo and Nana, was born 1941 in Kingston, Oklahoma and passed on June 20, 2024 and is now living eternally with her precious Savior Jesus.

Wanda grew up in Kingston with three sisters and two brothers.  Wanda being the oldest of the siblings helped raised her brothers and sisters.  This is where she learned to love cooking and baking.  Wanda also loved flowers, she loved making beautiful flower arrangements, as well as working in the garden growing beautiful flowers in her yard. Wanda was very gifted and talented in her garden and with making flower arrangements.

Wanda is survived by her two daughters and one son-in-law, four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, two sisters, one sister in-law, two brothers-in-law, numerous nieces and nephews.

Wanda was a wonderful mother, hair stylist, and homemaker who was always there when we needed her the most, offering support, wisdom, and love in abundance.  She was humble, selfless, gentle, and extremely generous to her family and anyone needing help.  She will be greatly missed by all.

Predeceased by her first husband Bob Phelps and the love of her life Dr. James R. Wells, Jr.  Her parents Leoria Turner and Roy Bailey, one sister Dorothy Thomas, and two brothers Mickey and Sammy Bailey.

Wanda's memory will be cherished and kept alive by her daughters Rayelynn Arthur, Shelli Rollins, her grandchildren Dandi Woodruff, Dakoda Underhill, Michael Arthur and Boston Arthur, her great grandchildren Payton Wells, Amira Trantham, Zayden Shoemake, and Brently Shoemake and by the rest of her family and friends.
