Obituary

Wanda began this life on August 15, 1936, in Marietta, the daughter of William and Pearl (Emerson) Colston. She grew up and attended schools in Marietta and wore #13 on the high school basketball team that played in the state championship game. Wanda would later marry Bobby Lee Reed, Sr. on June 2, 1954, at a ceremony in Marietta.

Wanda had a talent and commitment to serving others. She worked for several years for former Dallas Cowboy Bob Lily. Wanda was also a huge fan of the Dallas Cowboys and her favorite players, Tony Dorsett and Bob Lily. She loved spending time outdoors and was quite proud of her garden which produced her prized pumpkins and gourds. Wanda always took time to admire beautiful tulips and sunflowers and never missed an opportunity to sit down to a bowl of ice cream or splurge on an apple turnover. She was also known to be somewhat of a songwriter and huge Elvis fan. Wanda also loved keeping up with the stock market, but perhaps the thing she loved keeping up with the most was her grandbabies. She never missed a chance to snuggle up to them during visits. But, when it was time to depart, she always had a piece of advice. It was either "be happy" or "take care of your health".

Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, William and Pearl; Bobby Reed, Sr.; son, Bobby Reed, Jr.; brother, William "Bill" Colston; sister, Freida Moore; and son-in-law, Lloyd Harris. Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Donna Harris, Lee Ann Reed Huerta and husband Bob, Becky Sheely-Reed, and Beth Sanders; daughter-in-law, Jeanette Reed; 9 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and 14 great-great-grandchildren.

Honorary bearers are Bobby Reed, Rebecca Robinson, Benjamin Sheely, Christopher Wander, and Joseph Wilson.

Wanda leaves a legacy of love and will be greatly missed by all.
