Jean had worked in several positions, including the Marietta Cookie Factory and the Pants Factory, and eventually retired from the Uniroyal Tire Company in Ardmore, OK. She had also worked on the side as a TV repairwoman and a caregiver for the Brewster family.

She had lived in Love County her entire life and had attended Eastside Baptist Church in Marietta and the Thackerville Community Church in Thackerville.

She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Ray Grice; granddaughter, Ashlee Peery; special grandson, Josh Gray; sisters and brother-in-law, Shirley and Charles Clark, Betty and Bernie Lemons, and Dorothy Sampson.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children Johnny Fanning and wife Regina, Herschel Peery and wife Brenda, and Darla Parkhill and husband Kevin; grandchildren, Chris Mote and wife Mary, Cody Parkhill and wife Brendiel, Lindsey Payne and husband Anthony, Monica Martin and husband Tanner, Ryan Curbow and wife Alysa, Colby Peery, Staccia Kerr, Sierra Casey, and Stormy Stout and husband Jimmy.

Jean passed away surrounded by the love of her family, leaving behind a legacy of warmth, generosity, beauty, and unforgettable memories. She was a woman with an incredible sense of style and grace, someone whose beauty shined both inside and out. Whether dressed for a family gathering or simply spending time at home, she carried herself with elegance and confidence that everyone admired.

She was known as the heart of her family — the person everyone could count on when life became difficult. Her home was always open to anyone in need of comfort, support, or simply a place to stay. She never hesitated to help others, offering love and kindness without expecting anything in return.

She loved following politics and rarely missed an evening of watching FOX NEWS, always ready to share her thoughts and opinions with passion and humor. Conversations with her were lively, memorable, and full of personality.

Her family will forever remember her as the very best cook. Her kitchen was a place filled with laughter, delicious meals, and the comforting smells of recipes made with love. Holidays were especially meaningful because of the candies she lovingly made for every occasion — treats that became treasured family traditions and brought joy to generations.

Above all else, her happiest moments were spent surrounded by her family. Nothing brought her greater pride or happiness than having everyone together, sharing stories, meals, and love. She created a home and a life centered around family, and that love will continue to live on in all who knew her.

She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always remembered for her strength, generosity, beauty, and the joy she brought into the lives of so many.
