Vernon Winifred Cooper

Vernon Winifred Cooper, 87, of Kingston, Oklahoma, passed away on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at the Family Care Center in Kingston, Oklahoma. He was born on October 14, 1938, in Madill, Oklahoma, to the late Vernon Winifred Cooper, Sr. and Oneta Wheeler Cooper. Vernon was raised in Kingston and graduated from Kingston High School in 1957. He later lived in both Texas and Oklahoma before making Kingston his permanent home in 1995. He married Betty LaWanna Tucker on February 14, 2003, in Las Vegas, Nevada and she preceded him in death on May 2, 2017. Vernon dedicated 44 years of service to Super C, where he worked as the Meat Market Manager, retiring on May 26, 2021. He was affiliated with the Kingston and the Mannsville Methodist Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and spending time outdoors. Most of all, he cherished spending time with his family and friends.
