Obituary

Tomie Nell "Miller" Ross, 86, of Madill, Oklahoma passed away on Sunday, March 31, 2024, at the Mercy Hospital in Tishomingo, Oklahoma with her daughters by her side.  She was born on June 7, 1937, in Stratford, Oklahoma to the late Theodore Sylvester Miller and Oda Lea Weldon Miller.  Tomie was raised in Madill where she graduated high school in 1955 and later received a degree and worked as a Dietary Manager.  She worked at the Brookside Nursing Center, Madill Hospital, and Mercy Hospital in Ardmore. She married W. T. Ross on April 8, 1961, in Madill and he preceded her in death on March 15, 2008.  Tomie was a member of the Rebekah Lodge and the Oakview Baptist church where she helped in the nursery.  She enjoyed reading, working puzzles, playing bunco, and taking care of all of the babies. She also loved baking and decorating cakes as well as making candy and pies.

She is survived by:

Paula Annette Bralley and husband Bryce, Milburn, Oklahoma

April Herring and husband Patrick, M. T. Bralley and wife Devon,

Justin Bralley and wife Caitlin, Hunter Hankins and husband Zack, Rylan Bralley, Tanner Ross and wife Alissa,

Kelsey Yonker and husband Teddie

13 Great grandchildren and 1 on the way.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Husband and both of her sisters Ann Gray and Netia Barker.
