Timothy Mark Hayes, 68-year-old Thackerville, OK resident, passed away Saturday, December 14, 2024, at his home. A memorial service will be scheduled for a later date. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to the Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Marietta, OK.

Timothy began this life on August 16, 1956, in Dallas, TX, the son of Mitchell and Zora (Thrift) Hayes. After graduating high school, he attended a Vo-Tech school where he received his electrician certificate.   He worked in that field for a few years and then transitioned into oil field work. Timothy later started driving an 18- wheeler for a few different companies that took him all over the United States and Canada.

On November 29, 1975, Timothy married Linda Hooper. Linda was the true love of his life, and they had celebrated more than 49 years together.

Timothy was a talented bass guitar player. He began playing when he was just 13 years old. Over the years, he played with several cover bands and several top 40 entertainment bands. Timothy was immensely proud that some of his grandchildren learned musical instruments as well and he absolutely loved to sit around and listen to them play. He was also known around the house as the go to guy for home improvement projects. Timothy was always working on something or making something better. One project he took a lot of pride in was the recording studio he built and allowed other people to use and record their music.

Timothy was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters; one brother; and one son, Timothy Hayes. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Linda of the home; daughters, Rebecca Hayes of Thackerville, and Elizabeth Rickwa and husband Joe of Thackerville; grandchildren, Johnny Stogsdill and wife Haley, Ethan Loving, Zora and Thaddeus Henry, Lucas, Emily and Ivan Rickwa and Natalie Davis; one great-grandson on the way, Jaxon Stogsdill; a brother, Mitchell Hayes and wife Evelyn of Valley View, TX; and several nieces, nephews,  cousins and friends.
