T. Timothy
Moore
January 25, 1923 – January 27, 2026
T. Timothy Moore, age 103, of Tishomingo, Oklahoma, passed away on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, at Blue River Healthcare Nursing Center in Tishomingo. He was born on January 25, 1923, in Durant, Oklahoma, to the late Johnny Clyde Moore and Hattie Corina Upchurch Moore. Timothy proudly served his country in the United States Army during World War II. After returning home, he built a life rooted in faith, family, and hard work. He married the love of his life, Erlene Iva Giles, on August 11, 1946, in Looxahoma, Mississippi. They shared nearly 72 years of marriage until her passing on July 28, 2018. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, church, and purpose, raising two sons and serving the Lord faithfully. Timothy spent his career working in the heat and air industry. After attending school to learn the trade, he worked diligently from 1948 until the late 1980s, earning the respect of many through his dedication and strong work ethic. Faith was the cornerstone of Timothy's life. His father, Johnny Clyde Moore, was a traveling preacher who preached wherever he was asked until he felt God's call to pastor Ravia Church of God, which was established in 1919. He pastored there for four years before resigning and continued to evangelize alongside his friend, Edmund Stark. Timothy carried that same love for the church throughout his life. Even at 102 years old and residing at the nursing home in Tishomingo, he remained faithful in attendance—riding the church bus to every service. Timothy was a great supporter of the church and believed God had called him to a one-on-one ministry. He was always ready to tell anyone about Jesus, about how he and Erlene met, how her influence shaped his faith, and how his father played a role in his journey to the Lord. Earlene's parents owned a farm in Mississippi, and it was there, in the front yard, that Timothy married the woman who would walk beside him in faith and life for decades.
He is survived by three grandchildren: Brandon Moore and wife Kimberly of Alma, Arkansas; Chris Moore and wife Emily of Silom Springs, Arkansas; and Jeffrey Moore and wife Marlena of Redondo Beach, California, and 3 Great Grandchildren along with many friends who will forever remember his faithfulness, dedication, and unwavering love for God and the church.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife, Earlene; and his two sons, Tim Moore and David Moore.
