Obituary

Sylvia Lamb Brantley, 82, of Buncombe Creek, Kingston, Oklahoma passed away on September 1, 2022, at her home in Buncombe Creek.  She was born on February 2, 1940, in Norfolk, Virginia to the late William H. Lamb and Rosa Mae Old Lamb. Sylvia was raised in Virginia where she graduated high school.  She married Earl Linwood Brantley on March 20, 1976, in Chesapeake, Virginia.  In 1976 they moved to Irving, Texas and later moved to The Colony, Texas where she worked as Director of Parks and Recreation.  In 2005 they moved to Buncombe Creek where she lived the rest of her life.  Sylvia was a member of the Texoma Southern Baptist Church, the Buncombe Creek Volunteer Fire Department, and the Eastern Star, Lewisville, Texas, The Colony, Texas and Chesapeake, Virginia Chapters.  She enjoyed shopping, traveling, and going to Rockport, Texas.

Children:                     Ricky Hale and wife Christie, Texas

Gina Burton and husband Ken, California

Lisa Drinkwater and husband Duncan, Texas

10 Grandchildren        12 Great Grandchildren

Brother:                       Mike Paynter and wife Mary, North Carolina

Sylvia was preceded in death by her parents, 1 sister and 3 brother.
