Shirley Jean Southerlend, 91, of Kingston, Oklahoma, passed away Tuesday, November 25, 2025, peacefully at the Family Care Center in Kingston.  She was born on May 19, 1934, in Grandfield, Oklahoma to the late William A. Richard and Lena Mae Moore Richard.  She married Oliver "Okie" Southerlend on December 23, 1948, in Florence, Arizona and he preceded her in death on September 3, 2005.  Shirley worked on a cotton farm, picking and chopping cotton.  She also worked in hospitals, nursing homes, a private patient provider, and at the Country Kitchen when it was Bev's Dinner.  Shirley was of the Pentecostal faith and she loved singing, loved her children and grandchildren, her friends and of course Jesus.

She was preceded in death by her husband, children; Mary Ann, Clara, Robin, Stephen, Monty; 6 brothers and 4 sister and 2 daughters-in-law; Betty and Karen
