Shawn Nelson Price, 54, was born November 9, 1969 in Ardmore, Oklahoma, to Ellen Kay Smith and Gary Nelson Parish. He passed from this life on February 11, 2024.  Shawn grew up the oldest of four attending Wilson Public Schools where he graduated in 1988. He attended Central State University (now UCO) in Edmond on a music scholarship and later attended Southeastern in Durant.  He was a member of the marching band at both universities.  Music was one of his great loves, all his life.

Shawn worked as a heavy haul truck driver for many years and most recently worked in the concrete industry. He never met an engine he didn't want to tinker with or learn more about. In his forties, he reconnected with his college crush and married Theresa Taylor White on July 1, 2016 in Durant OK.  He loved animals, funny videos of animals, a good dad joke and the community of small town life. Despite several struggles with his health during his life, including surviving cancer twice, Shawn took great pride in being a long time blood donor. He was serious about the gift of O negative blood as a universal donor and gave for others as often as he could.  He continued that after his life, as an organ donor.  He was a true story teller at heart, through music, conversation and humor; no one he met was a stranger for long. He was a beloved husband, son, dad, bonus dad, friend, co-worker and the favorite of all his names was PawPaw.
