Viewing will be Friday from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Secilio was born November 23, 1952, in Sombrerete, Zacatecas, Mexico, the son of Rodolfo Salas and Natalia Andrade Salas. He married Josefina Salas on May 30, 1970, in Sombrerete. The two spent 50 years together until her passing in February of 2021.

Secilio worked for the Marietta Cookie Factory for more than 20 years and when he relocated to Rogers, AR he worked at Wal-Mart as Head of Maintenance. Secilio was a very hardworking man that instilled a positive work ethic in his children. He taught them to always be on time, respectful, and to work hard. Secilio was always on the move either working on his house or working in the yard. He was a very generous and caring man that was more than willing to help his family and friends in times of need. Secilio took great pride in his appearance and was quite the "charmer". He was also known as a prankster with a great sense of humor that never passed on an opportunity to have a little light-hearted fun at someone else's expense.

Secilio was preceded in death by his parents; by his wife, Josefina; by a brother, Jose Salas; and by a sister, Sara Barrientos.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Amalia Salas of the home in Marlin, TX; two sons, Martin Salas and wife Rebecca of Rogers and Jose Salas and wife Norma of Rogers; three daughters, Micaela Sanchez and husband Gabriel of Marietta, Manuela Barrientos and husband Antonio of Marietta, and Silvia Salas of Marietta; one brother, Secundino Salas; six sisters, Gabina Melchor, Olga Serrano, Estella Ramirez, Martha Salas, Marcela Salas, and Esperanza Fernandez; 17 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.
