Services for Ruby Carol King of Marietta, OK, are set for 10:00 a.m., Saturday, March 18, 2023, at the Marietta Church of Christ, with Leland King officiating and Chase Green and Vincent King assisting. Interment will follow at the Lakeview Cemetery in Marietta. A time of visitation will be held on Friday, March 17, from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home in Marietta.

Mrs. King was born on March 11, 1934, in Seminole, OK, to Oscar Otis and Lucille Francis (Blackwell) Isaacs. She passed away on her birthday, Saturday, March 11, 2023, at the Lake Country Nursing Center in Marietta, at the age of 89.

Ruby attended Cumberland Elementary and graduated from Madill High School in 1952.

She married Raymond Jay King on January 20, 1953, in Madill, OK. They were married for sixty-four years before he preceded her in death on September 23, 2017.

Ray and Ruby operated Ray's Drive-In in Marietta for most of the 1970's. Ruby had a very spunky and loving personality. She loved pulling jokes on her friends. Ruby would melt their straw end together for their drink or add a small piece of cardboard on a burger along with the meat patty. She had quite a sly way of doing things. She later retired as a Deputy Court Clerk for Love County. Ruby also was a member of the Marietta Church of Christ and enjoyed knitting, crocheting and music.

Preceding Ruby in death are her parents and husband; sisters, Patsy Wandella Isaacs and Jeraldine Webb; and her favorite child, her dog Tucker.

Those left to cherish Ruby's memory are her children, Vincent King and wife Sandra of Grand Junction, CO, Leland King and wife Linda of Conway, NH, Sheri Nadeau and husband Gilles of Norman, OK, Jenny Hambrick and husband Greg of Marietta, and Linda Davidson and husband John of Oklahoma City, OK; grandchildren, Alexander, Michael, Sarah, Colin, Ashley, Jamie, Brooklyn and Eric; special grandchild, Ramon; eight great-grandchildren; and a sister, Hazel Letterman of Madill.

Serving as casket bearers will be Vincent King, Leland King, Greg Hambrick, John Davidson, Allen Woody, and Brad Randell. Honorary bearers are the Staff of the Lake Country Nursing Center.
