Obituary

Ronnie began this life on May 17, 1952, in Gainesville, TX, the son of Bob and Maxine (Links) Colston. Ronnie graduated with the Ardmore High School Class of 1970 and would also later graduate with his bachelor's degree from Southeastern Oklahoma State University in Durant, OK. On November 4, 1977, Ronnie married the love of his life, Cindy Lane. The two ran the abstract office in Marietta for 46 years along with Mary Ellen Johnston who was a very special employee and friend who worked with them for 40 years.

When Ronnie was not working, you would likely find him outdoors either hunting, fishing, or playing golf. He also was a 35-year season ticket holder for OU Football and loved attending Texas Rangers games. Ronnie was also known to be a frequent concert goer and somewhat of a prankster. He never passed up an opportunity to have a laugh at someone else's expense. Occasionally, he might slide into a casino when he was feeling lucky or just make a trip out to Vegas. He loved traveling with Cindy. Ronnie treasured the many trips they took, especially the ones that landed them at a beach or in Hawaii. He had a lot of things that kept him on the move, but one thing was for sure, he always made time for a run to Sonic at Happy Hour.

Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents, Bob and Maxine Colston and by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Paul and Joyce Lane. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Cindy of the home; daughters, Tiffany Nichols and husband Zach of Sanger, TX and Cara Wilkins and husband Josh of Sulphur, OK; grandchildren, Landry Nichols, Zane Wilkins, and Jett Wilkins; sisters, Lisa Bean and husband Steve of Overbrook, OK and Leah Johnson and husband Matt of Edmond, OK; nieces and nephews, Jacey Alford and husband Preston, Derek Wallace and wife Sami, Micah Lane and wife Hanna, Jed Lane and wife Amy, Charley Beth Nichols and husband Justin, and Ella Johnson; and brothers-in-law, Rick Lane and wife Kenni, and Kevin Lane and wife Heather.

The family asks that those who wish to honor Ronnie's memory through donation, please remember the Baptist Home for Girls, 13976 Anthony Ln, Madill, OK 73446.
