Memorial services for Ronald Lynn Stidham of Marietta, OK, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, March 9, 2020 at the Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home Chapel in Marietta with Pastor Brett Alberda officiating. Services have been entrusted to the Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Marietta.
The son of Bernard and Christina (Bennett) Stidham, Ronald was born December 30, 1947 in Hamilton, OH and he passed away Tuesday, March 3, 2020 at Mercy Health Love County in Marietta at the age of 72.
Ronald spent most of his young life in Ohio. He enlisted into the United States Army on November 30, 1968 and was honorably discharged on November 4, 1971. He served our country as a machinist during the Vietnam Conflict. For Ronald's service, he was awarded three Bronze Service Stars, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal and Expert Rifle Badge. Approximately 20 years ago he moved to Marietta to work as a Construction Manager for Fenix Construction out of Ardmore, OK. Ronald worked for them for 20 years before retiring. He was an avid outdoorsman that enjoyed hunting, fishing and riding his Harley. Ronald's life was enhanced with countless friends and family that he loved dearly.
Ronald was preceded in death by his parents; son, Russell "Rusty" Stidham; and a sister, Lois Philhower.
Survivors include his significant other, Vicky McCaskill of the home; son, Joshua Stidham of Austin, TX; four brothers, John Stidham and wife Jane of Garland, TX, James Stidham and wife Bambi of Kings Mills, OH; Doug Stidham and wife Tammy of Millville, OH, and Greg Stidham of Hawaii; and a sister, Deborah Clark and husband Bobby of Hamilton, OH
Serving as honorary casket bearers are Joe Horsfall, Dale Reed, Ray Willingham, Terry Vernon, Danny McClendon, Dusty Matthews, Charles Eppes, Sam Witt, Gene Gorley, Eric McDaniel, Roger Gary McCoy, Roger Conrad, Leonard Burnett, Richard Dove, Glenn Nowell, Jerrod Carpenter, Brant Burel, Brett Alberda, Dan Barlow, Dan Blanton, Leon Labor, Johnny Labor, Bill Trosper, Mike Watkins, and Mike Marchetti.
