Ronnie Thompson was born on March 16, 1988 in Redondo Beach, California to Ronald and Mary Thompson. Ronnie was raised in Long Beach, California, where he attended Lakewood High School. In 2010, at the age of 22, he made the move to Madill, Oklahoma with his Dad and they built a life living near the lake with plenty of room for all the animals that he eventually adopted. He worked for OK Steel and Wire in Madill, and later for CMC Steel in Durant. Ronnie was a proud lifelong fan of the Los Angeles Dodgers, the Los Angeles Lakers, and the Dallas Cowboys. He had a deep love for animals and took pride in caring for them, especially his beloved dogs, who brought him endless companionship and joy. Though Ronnie’s life was far too short, the love he shared, the memories he created, and the lives he touched will remain. He will forever be remembered and deeply missed by his family and all who loved him.
Ronnie is survived by his father, Ronald Thompson of Madill, Oklahoma, his mother, Mary Parga of Carson, California; his sister Stephanie Thompson, and his nephew Braxton Beliso both of Carson, California; many aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members and friends who will carry his memory in their hearts.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, William and Barbara Thompson of Madill, Oklahoma and Armando and Theresa Parga of Carson California.
Services honoring Ronnie’s life will be held in Long Beach, California, at a later date.
