Ronald David Manning, 67, of Marietta, OK was born September 13, 1942, at Pike, OK, the son of Alex and Irene Mobley Manning. Mr. Manning passed away Monday, December 21, 2009 in Mercy Health Love County, Marietta. A lifelong resident of Love County, Mr. Manning graduated from Turner High School. He and Mary "Paulette" Sanders were married April 19, 1969, in Nash, TX. Mr. Manning retired as train master for the Santa Fe Railroad. A Mason since 1973, he was a member of Marietta Lodge #102 and had served as past master and secretary for 15 years. Mr. Manning loved his family, farming and raising cattle. His grandchildren were the light of his life. He especially enjoyed watching them play sports. He was a member of Marietta's First Baptist Church. His father preceded him in death on July 12, 1979. Survivors include his wife, Paulette Manning of the home; mother, Irene Manning of Marietta; two sons and daughter-in-law, David Scott and Kerri Manning, also of Marietta, and Michael Paul Manning of Denton, TX; sister, Stella Manning of Gainesville, TX; and two grandchildren, Alex Manning and Sarah Manning. Serving as bearers will be Alex Manning, Barry Gantt, Brian Warthen, Wesley Hearell, Steve Bell and Dewayne Riley. Honorary bearers are Bill Wheat, Dale Damere, Gary O'Dell, Glyn Hicks, Randy Nelson and McDonald Moore.
