Ronald Wayne Beard, 61 of Ardmore, Oklahoma passed away Monday, May 7, 2007 at the hospital in Ardmore after 9 years of fighting cancer. Ronald was born on November 23, 1945 to the late Wayne Henry Beard and Rosemary Whitfill Beard Daniel in Madill, Oklahoma. He was raised in Madill and graduated from the Madill High School in 1964. Later he attended Southeastern Oklahoma State University College where he received a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration. Ronald's first marriage was to Sherry Beth Lesley on June 23, 1967. They had a daughter, Dr. Candis Lesley Beard. He married Eileen Lavenia Whatley Moore on June 9, 2003 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Ronald enjoyed many pastimes including hunting, fishing and spending time with his many friends and family. He operated a sporting goods store in Madill and was a life long OU Sooner Fan. He spent his final years in Ardmore where he and his wife ran the Chickasaw Lake Club. He is survived by: Wife: Eileen Whatley Beard, Ardmore, Oklahoma Daughter: Dr. Lesley Beard and her husband Nelson Reid both of Highland Village, Texas Step Children: Rozanne Bright, John Whatley, Lori Whatley all of Ardmore, Oklahoma Granddaughter: Scarlett Olivia Reid, Highland Village, Texas Uncles: Charles Edward Whitfill, David Whitfill, Donald Lee Whitfill and their families and many cousins from both the Beard and Whitfill families. He was proceeded in death by his parents Wayne H. Beard and Rosemary Beard Daniel.
