Obituary

Robert Burton "Burt" Ludrick, 74, of Kingston, Oklahoma passed away on Saturday, June 17, 2023, at his home in Kingston.  He was born on January 25, 1949, in Washington, DC to the late Jack Neilson Ludrick and Mildred Marguerite Speck Ludrick.  Burt was raised in Virginia and later moved to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma where he graduated from Northwest Classen High School in 1967.  He married Harriet Wrynne Boydstun on August 1, 1969, in Oklahoma City.  In 1971 he received a bachelor's degree in science from Central State University and in 1975 received his doctorate from Baylor Dental School, Dallas, Texas.  He interned at St. Anthony's Hospital and Children's Hospital. Burt moved to Kingston in 1976 and owned and operated R. Burton Ludrick DDS in Durant, Oklahoma from 1976 to 2016.  He considered his dental staff, Gail Goad, Beth Springer, and Lynda Rich, his family. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Kingston where he loved cleaning the church on Fridays with the other men.  Burt also enjoyed hunting, fishing and he was a great handyman, he could fix anything.  Of the many interests and accomplishments in his life, his love for his family succeeded them all. He was always active in the local church, serving on medical mission trips, teaching various classes such as, RA's, Youth, College, Adult, and Senior Adult ministries. He was ordained a deacon in 1998 and served on many pulpit committees. His wife was "the love of his life".

Our family would like to thank Texas Oncology, Dr. Patel, Dr. Tran, and staff at Texoma Medical Center, and Marquita Hughes at Elara Caring Hospice for the exceptional care of Burt.
