Rita Jane Straub, 76, of Kingston, Oklahoma passed away on Saturday, September 28, 2024, Wilburton, Oklahoma. She was born on December 15, 1947, in Red Oak, Oklahoma to the late Otis Marion Hulsey and Minnie Elma Whitmore Hulsey.  Rita was raised in Red Oak and graduated from Red Oak High School in 1966.  She went on to receive her associated degree at Eastern Oklahoma State College in Wilburton, her bachelor's and master's degree in education from Southeastern Oklahoma State University.   Rita worked as a teacher at the Kingston Public School for 34 years before retiring in 2004. She was affiliated with the Willis Baptist Church, and she enjoyed watching OU Football and loved her grandkids and her teacher friends and Red Oak classmates.

Sister:                                  Alice Britton and husband Bob, Keller, Texas

Niece:                                Cheryl Klein and husband Dennis, Keller, Texas

Rita was preceded in death by her parents and beloved mother-in-law Margaret Parker, and best friend Kathy Kendricks.
