Richard Allan Votaw 70, of Madill, Oklahoma passed away on Monday, August 15, 2022, at his home in Madill.  He was born on June 19, 1952, in Paris, Texas to the late Virgil Russell Votaw and Phyllis Marie Welch Votaw.  Allan grew up on Cal-Farley's Boys Ranch in Amarillo, Texas and he later joined the United States Army where he received an honorable discharge.  Allan then worked on offshore drilling in Columbia, Honduras and many other places before he retired.  After retiring he moved to Madill where he worked for himself as a carpenter, building boathouse, and worked for Busy Bee Cleaners.  Allan married Caron Lee Edmonds on January 26, 2017, in Del Norte, Colorado.  He enjoyed shooting his gun and his bow, riding motorcycles, working with his horses and giving the guys at the Lumber Company hard time.  Allan's greatest love was his family.

Allan was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers: Rusty and Greg Votaw.
