Randy
Hart
June 10, 1945 – August 23, 2022
Randall Robert "Randy" Hart, 77-year-old Marietta, OK resident, passed away peacefully with his family at his side on Tuesday, August 23, 2022 at the Mercy Hospital Oklahoma City, OK. Randy will be laid to rest at a graveside service at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 30, 2022, in the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Thackerville, OK. Services have been entrusted to the Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Marietta.
Randy began this life on June 10, 1945, in San Francisco, CA, the son of Robert Houston and Mildred Rose (McMurray) Hart. After graduating high school, he served his country in the United States Army while being stationed in Germany during his period of service. Randy married the love of his life, Debbie Morene Underwood, on December 6, 1965, in Weatherford, TX. The two spent 43 wonderful years together until she passed on March 18, 2009.
Over the years, Randy figuratively wore several different hats. He was a bull rider, a horseshoer, an oil field roughneck, and most recently a stock contractor working and hauling bulls for events across the country. Randy loved getting out on the ponds, the lakes, and the river to fish. He will be remembered as being quite the prankster and took every opportunity to have a laugh at someone else's expense. Randy lived a very fulfilled life and enjoyed many things that brought him great joy, but perhaps the thing he enjoyed most was spending priceless time with his grandchildren.
Randy's son, J.W., left these words about his father, "I feel like the luckiest man alive! My daddy was a man's man and a cowboy, and I got to hold his hand when he drew his last breath and went to meet Jesus."
Randy was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Debbie; and by a brother, Larry Hart.
Those left to cherish his memory are his sons, J.W. Hart and wife LeAnn of Marietta and Cody Hart and wife Shawna of Thackerville; daughters, Randi "Fussie" Byars and husband Cody of Marietta, Debbie Davis and husband Scott of Lone Grove, OK, and Rhonda Bond and husband Michael of Thackerville; a brother, Dennis Hart of Mesquite, TX; sisters, Cheryl Self of Denison, TX, Kathy Myers of Dickinson, TX, Chris Jeffery of Lorena, TX, and Kim Patton of Ada, OK; grandchildren, Nicole Davis, Madyson Drye and husband Rusty, Landon Bond, Rylee Berry and husband Jacobi, Natalee Davis, Clancy Hart and wife Kennedy, Briar Hart, Wacey Hart, Blaine Hart, Kylee Byars, Gunner Byars, Sapphire Hart, Chrystal Hart, Elsie Hart, Junior Hart, Ashley Eldred and husband Mitchell, and Makayla Hart; and great-grandchildren, Samson, Maycie, Rainlee, Crue, and Orin.
Casket bearers are Gunner Byars, Wacey Hart, Johnny Hilton, Chris McMahon, Rowdy Morgan, and Clancy Hart. Honorary bearers are Ronnie Voyles, Orville Brown, James Lucas, Mike Graham, Dennis Hulsey, and Gene Smith.
A visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Monday, August 29, 2022, at the funeral home.
