R. Dale
Reed
January 21, 1976 – October 2, 2022
Dale began this life on January 21, 1976, in Ardmore, OK the son of Raymond Dale Reed, Sr. and Jane Ann Spradlin-Reed. He grew up in Love County and graduated from Turner High School in 1994. Dale worked for Joe McElreath Company in Gainesville, TX until about 2004 when he began his welding career in construction and on the oil and natural gas pipelines.
Dale loved riding motorcycles and four-wheelers. He took several trips around the state on his Harley and several trips up the Tuck's Ferry Hill on his four-wheeler. He loved boating up and down the Red River and was known to do quite a bit of catfishing along the way. He loved the outdoors and spent a lot of time shooting guns. That love led him to develop another hobby that he spent countless hours on…re-loading ammunition. Dale had many things that he enjoyed and that occupied his time, but perhaps the thing he loved most was visiting with friends and family whenever he had a chance. Whether he caught someone on the street or was on the phone, Dale was always talking to someone.
Dale was preceded in death by his grandparents, Burl and Marie Reed and Charles and Joyce Spradlin.
Those left to cherish his memory are his parents; his children, Trinity Dewbre and husband David of Marietta, Sethan Reed and girlfriend Hannah Chapman (who Dale thought of like a daughter)of Marietta, Harley Reed of Marietta, Della Reed of Marietta, Meaghan York of Rio Rancho, NM, and Mason York of Rio Rancho, NM; three grandchildren, Ember Ramirez, Emmett Dewbre, and Layla Tapia; a sister, Tammy Roberts and husband Tim of Dallas, TX; two former wives that he still greatly cared for, Robin Kime-Scott and Rebecca Jones-Reed; his fiancé, Sheila Roper; a nephew, Trevor Roberts; a niece Taylor Roberts; many cousins; and a host of great friends.
Casket bearers will be Garret Chance, David Hensley, Steve Langston, John Holt, Jason Tipton, and Larry Partridge. Honorary bearers are Keith Castleberry, Jimmy Williams, Randy Reeves, Rick Brannan, Vance McGill, Chance Cavitt, Dal Gilbert, Charlie Milam, John Hughes, and Joe Dale Fincher.
