Queta F. Edwards was born at Eastman, OK on December 2, 1940, the daughter of E.C. "Shorty" and Trudy Lang Faulkenberry. She passed away Tuesday, January 28, 2014 in Mercy Hospital Oklahoma City at the age of 73. Mrs. Edwards had been a resident of Texas most of her life where she was a school teacher and basketball coach. She and Joel Taylor Edwards were married on June 30, 1967 in San Marcos, TX, and he preceded her in death on January 23, 2002. The couple moved to Marietta to make their home in 1995 after retiring. Queta loved fishing and was an avid fan of OU girls basketball. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Lindon Faulkenberry on April 6, 2007. Survivors include three brothers and sisters-in-law, Chestney and Martha Faulkenberry of Abilene, TX, Larry and Linda Faulkenberry, Kim and Terry Faulkenberry, and Ann Faulkenberry, all of Marietta.
