Phillip Dwayne Hamner, 82, passed away on Thursday, January 15, 2026, at his home in Kingston, Oklahoma.
He was born on February 12, 1943, in Summerfield, Oklahoma, to the late Commador Hamner and Alene Johnson Hamner. Phil was raised in Summerfield and later moved to Winters, California. On September 15, 1962, he married Norma Gayle Goodwin in Carson City, Nevada and she preceded him in death on June 18, 2018. Throughout his life, Phillip lived in Odessa, Texas and Elk City, Oklahoma, Casper, Wyoming before moving to Kingston, where he lived the rest of his life. He was affiliated with the Lighthouse Methodist Church, and he enjoyed working on cars, fishing, and hunting, and took pride in the simple joys of life.
He is survived by:
Children: Leland Hamner of Kingston, Oklahoma
Paula McDonald and husband Ed of Houston, Texas
Jimmy Hamner and wife Vanessa of Salt Lake City, Utah
He is also survived by six grandchildren: Taylor McDonald, Alyson McDonald, Holly Hamner, Oliver Hamner, Helena Avery, and Bailey Gayle Hamner.
