Obituary

Peggy Joyce Griffin, 86, passed away peacefully on November 21, 2025, surrounded by love. Peggy lived a life centered on family, faith, and quiet devotion to those she cared for.

Peggy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She was preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband of 37 years, Robert (Bob) Griffin, whom she missed deeply.

She is survived by her sister, Patsy Veal, and her husband Johnnie; her three sons: Gary Roberts and his wife Peggy, Rick Roberts and his wife Stephanie, and Bobby Griffin and his wife Marinda.

Peggy's greatest joy came from her family, especially the time spent with her grandchildren: Krystal Galatian and her husband Ricky, Kevin Roberts and his wife Kelli, Rachel Davidson and her husband Hunter, Ryan Burns, Cameryn Griffin, Kendall Griffin and her fiancé Connor, Jon Haberer, Nyah Haberer, and Jacob Haberer. She was also blessed with 10 great-grandchildren, each of whom held a special place in her heart.

Peggy worked as a dental assistant for more than 40 years, a career she truly loved. She began working with Dr. Edgar Erard and later with Dr. Douglas McDonald, retiring after decades of dedicated service. One of her proudest moments was assisting her granddaughter Krystal as she prepared for her dental license examinations—something Peggy spoke of often and with great pride.

An avid baseball fan, Peggy spent countless hours watching her sons play as they grew up, later cheering on her grandson Kevin throughout his baseball years. She also enjoyed watching the Houston Astros, especially when she could share the game with her neighbors Rachel Vaughn and Gil Arispe, or with friends from her First Baptist Sunday School class.

Above all else, Peggy will be remembered for her kindness, steady presence, and deep love for her family. She had a gentle way of making people feel cared for and at home. She will be deeply missed, but her love and legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
