Pedro Gutierrez-Hernandez was born on August 1, 1951, in Saltillo, Coahuila de Zaragoza, Mexico, to Abraham Gutierrez and Antonia Hernandez. He died at his Marietta, OK residence on Saturday, December 14, 2024, at the age of 73.

Pedro married the former Misty Young on January 18, 1996, in Riverside, CA.

Pedro enjoyed watching movies at his house, watching and playing on his tablet, cooking, grilling and gambling at the casino. He had worked at Wal-Mart and had recently retired as a security officer at WinStar World Casino in Thackerville.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers; and two sisters.

Left to cherish Pedro's memory are his wife, Misty Gutierrez of Marietta; sons; Anthony Gutierrez of partner  Andrew Hammer of Gainesville, TX and Andrew Gutierrez of Marietta; daughters, Carmen Halstied and husband Bradley of Marietta, and Claudia Gutierrez and fiancé Carlos De La Rosa of Gainesville; grandchildren, Devyn Halstied and CeCelia Gutierrez De La Rosa, who is due March 13, 2025; sister, Suzana Torrez of Westminster, CA; best friend considered a brother, Rudolph Ozuna of Marietta; and numerous extended family members.

There are no services scheduled at this time. However, at Pedro's request, the family will celebrate his life at a later date. Cremation services are under the direction of Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home in Marietta.
