Patsy Beatrice Rogers, 79, of Kingston, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 23, 2026. She was born on March 17, 1947, in Blair, Oklahoma, to the late Louis Henry McClaflin Sr. and Beulah Fay Wright McClaflin.
Patsy grew up with a strong love for family and community and attended school in Chickasha, Oklahoma, where she graduated from Chickasha High School. On June 2, 1964, she married the love of her life, Wayne “Buddy” Joseph Rogers, in Gainesville, Texas. Together they built a life centered around love, hard work, and devotion to family, sharing many wonderful years together until Buddy’s passing on May 6, 2016.
Over the years, Patsy lived in Healdton, Bradley, Lindsay, and Chickasha before retiring in 1992 and settling at beautiful Soldier Creek on Lake Texoma, a place she truly loved and called home. She was proud to be a founding member of the Caney/Soldier Creek Women’s Auxiliary and treasured the friendships and memories made there through the years.
Patsy was baptized at Calvary Baptist Church and carried a quiet but steadfast faith throughout her life. She found joy in the simple things—working in her yard, caring for her home, cooking meals for those she loved, and spending time surrounded by family. Known for her warm heart and welcoming spirit, Patsy never met a stranger and had a way of making everyone feel at home. Her kitchen was often filled with laughter, good food, and the love she so generously gave to others.
More than anything, Patsy cherished being a wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her family was the center of her world, and she took great pride in each of them. The memories she created and the love she shared will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her son, Moe Rogers and wife Melissa of Kingston; daughters, Toni Shuler of Kingston and Terri Ross and husband Barney of Kingston; grandchildren, Ross Shuler and wife Katie of Blanchard, Dr. Calli Dillard and husband Justin of Silo, and Hayden Rogers of Kingston; and great-grandchildren, Kollin Shuler, Konnor Shuler, Allie Shuler, and Henry Dillard. Sister-in-law, Mary Sue Lathrop.
Patsy was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Buddy Rogers; her parents, Louis and Beulah McClaflin; siblings, Corinne, Delphenia, Juanita, Bobby, and Bud; in-laws, Henry and ToyeLee Rogers; brothers and sisters-in-laws, L.B. and Ina Hoyle, Norman Lathrop, and Fritz and Joyce Badertscher; and a special niece, Shaunie Beth Robinson.
