Patsy Juanita Riley, 75-year-old Marietta, OK resident, passed away Monday, October 10, 2022, at the Mercy Health Love County Hospital after succumbing to injuries she received in an automobile accident that evening.  Services for Patsy will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, October 14, 2022, in the Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home Chapel with long-time friend Toni Spradling officiating. Services have been entrusted to the Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home in Marietta.

Patsy was born May 12, 1947, in Courtney, OK to Wintferd C. "Wink" and Anna Bell (Bentley) Riley. Patsy worked as a hairdresser for several years before transitioning to her true calling as a healthcare provider. Over the years, Patsy worked as a care provider in hospitals and nursing homes and as a private care provider in several residences in the area.

In her spare time, Patsy loved traveling and being outdoors. You could often find her sitting on her porch watching her chickens, the hummingbirds and wildlife. She loved watching America's Funniest Home Videos and getting a large belly laugh from some of the misfortunes she saw. Patsy also spent countless hours on yard work, sewing, and painting furniture. She was a caregiver and servant to her family and was known to go out of her way to make sure everyone had anything they needed. She especially enjoyed spending time with and helping her best friend and sister, Glinda and brother-in-law Bobby. As Bobby put it while giggling, "she's my heavy lifter".  The holidays were very special to her.  Halloween was her favorite to dress up and decorate for going all out making paper mache buzzards and graveyards and having laughs with friends.  Thanksgiving was extra special because family was together, and she was able to showcase her superb cooking talent. Many things brought Patsy great joy in life, but the thing she enjoyed most was spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Patsy was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Missy Dunn; brother, "Pudgie" Riley; and cousin, Donna Ditto.

Those left to cherish her memory are her two daughters, Dawnita Sampson and husband Jason of Marietta and Donna Kay Rains and husband Tim of Marietta; her partner and companion of 38 years, Leda Furrh of Marietta; her ex-husband that she still greatly cared for, Don Culwell of Marietta; three grandchildren, Aaron Dunn and partner Lisa Torborg, Asher Hartman, and T.J. "Jayce" Rains; three sisters, Glinda Brown and husband Bobby of Marietta, Joyce Dawdy and husband Mike of Victoria, TX, and Debra Riley-Provence of Gainesville, TX; nephew Micheal Dawdy and niece Crystal Williams of Port Lavaca TX, among many other family and friends.

Honorary bearers are Terri Buck, Staci Glover, Kim Bostick, Brandi Carlile, Aaron Dunn, Asher Hartman, T.J. "Jayce" Rains, and Melinda Taylor.
