Obituary

Olene Westmoreland Peterson was born in Oswalt, OK on July 31, 1927, Olene was the first child of Roy and Maggie Stevens. She passed away peacefully in her home in Saginaw, TX on Sunday, June 21, 2026 at the age of 98. She worked hard farming with her father, Roy Stevens. Olene loved the Lord and touched the lives of everyone she encountered. She was known for her caring heart, kind spirit, and unwavering devotion to her family and faith. The legacy she leaves behind is one of love, service, and commitment to those she cherished most.

Olene was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Maggie Stevens; her first husband, Albert Westmoreland; her second husband, Conway Peterson; her sister-in-law, Edna Stevens; her grandson-in-law, Jay Liddick; and her great-granddaughters, Emilee Hayward and Kortney Westmoreland.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children and their spouses, Richard and Judy Westmoreland and Linda McEachern; her grandchildren and their spouses, Meredith Liddick, Keith Holt, Kristina and Chris Fagan, and Alisha Westmoreland; her great-grandchildren and their spouses, Anthony and Amanda Grant, Daniel Grant, Jaycee Liddick, Justin Beverly, Cody Fagan and Dilan Stallings, Savana Young, Kaity Hayward, Joshua (Evan) and Vanessa Holt, and Kaylan Holt; her great-great-grandchildren, Ryland Grant, Kimberly (Clara) Grant, Lane Hull, Londynn Grant, Aston Grant, Wyatt Beverly, and Olivia Beverly; and her beloved canine companions, Whiskey, Baxter, and Winston, whose lives were enriched by her love and affection.

Olene will be remembered for the immense love and care she showed to everyone blessed enough to know her. Her tender heart, gentle spirit, and loving kindness touched countless lives and will continue to be reflected in the family she loved so dearly.

Private family services to be held under the direction of Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home in Marietta, OK.
