Obituary

Molly May Croasdale passed away in Kingston, Oklahoma on Saturday, March 16, 2024 at the Kingston Family Care Center at the age of 87. Molly was born to William J "Bill" and Fannie Belle (Bocook) Wheeler on April 18, 1936 in Ashland, Kentucky. Molly graduated from Capitol Hill High School then went onto Beauty School.  She had the opportunity to attend classes in New York City, NY to further her education. She married Gene Croasdale on August 10, 1962 in Oklahoma City, OK.  They welcomed their son, Scott Croasdale into their open arms on March 21, 1963.  Molly opened a beauty shop in her home in Oklahoma City.  Gene unexpectedly passed away on March 11, 1972.  After a few years Molly and Scott decided to move to Lake Texoma.  Molly opened another beauty shop in her house and gave many tight rolled perms and very short haircuts.  Her clients liked to say the more she talked, the shorter the hair got.  Molly always said the best decision she ever made was moving to Kingston because it gave her Debbie Croasdale; her daughter as she liked to tell everyone. Scott and Debbie welcomed Molly's one and only grandchild "Katy". Molly and Katie shared many wonderful memories together from baking cookies with salt instead of sugar, "Molly and Katie Monday's", and cooking Thanksgiving meals together.

Molly loved her whole family.  Her favorite times were at the Lake Texoma Lodge at the Wheeler Family Reunion in the hottest part of August.  She was involved in many activities and groups from the Red Hat Ladies to the Texoma Ladies Auxiliary. Molly made many friends through these groups and was able to enjoy traveling.

She spent the last five years of her life at the Kingston Family Care Center where she encouraged the staff with kind words and a big smile.  Molly was extremely blessed to receive such wonderful daily care by KFCC and Elara Hospice. The brightest part of her days would be when her Great-Grandson; Kinsler, Debbie, and Katie would help decorate her room for the next season. She especially loved when Scotty and Kinsler would swing by to show her new karate moves. She loved Kinsler beyond words and was always on his side. Molly's words to live by were "how sweet it is". She would light up any room with her contagious smile and big personality.  She always saw the bright side of things and kept a positive outlook on life no matter the circumstance.
