Michael Robert O'Niel, 77, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, passed away on Monday, September 30, 2024, at Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa. He was born on October 28, 1946, in Chickasha, Oklahoma, to the late Jerold Robert O'Niel and Patricia Mae Rhoades O'Niel. Mike and his family lived in Japan for a year before moving to Tulsa, and eventually moving to Kingston. He was a proud Kingston High School graduate of 1964; Mike cherished his alma mater and remained an enthusiastic member of the Kingston Alumni Association. His passion for learning led him to Oklahoma State University, where he laid the groundwork for a distinguished career. After serving honorably in the United States Marine Corps, Mike returned to OSU, earning his Electrical Engineering degree in 1971. He married the love of his life, Paula Jean Pierce, on August 7, 1971, in Kingston, and together they built a life filled with love and laughter. Mike devoted 40 years to his profession, where he was known for his dedication and expertise. He retired from General Electric in 2013. A lifelong OSU fan, he celebrated every game with fervor. His love for golf was legendary. He proudly achieved eight holes-in-one throughout his life.
He leaves behind his wife, Paula O'Niel of Tulsa, along with children Jeff Davis of Ardmore, and Jennifer Milroy and husband Erick of Tulsa. His legacy continues with his cherished grandchildren: Michael Jacob "Jake" Milroy, Brennon Davis, Stormie Finch, Haelee Davis, and Tori Davis, as well as great-grandchildren Wisdom, Scarlett, Serenity, Briar, Ainsley, Atticus, Larason, Penelope, and Rosco. Mike is also survived by his dear sister, Jeri Jones, and husband Jerry of Durant. He was preceded in death by his parents, stepmother Eleanor O'Niel, and his brother, Danny O'Niel. Mike's warmth, kindness, generosity, and love for family will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
