Obituary

Melba Maxine Oldham, 88, of Briar Creek, Oklahoma passed away on Saturday, January 6, 2024, at her home in Briar Creek.  She was born on December 1, 1935, in Briar Creek to the late Willie Wrenzy Bridgeman and Omie Pearl Hambrick Bridgeman.  Maxine was raised in the Briar Creek and Powell area.  She married Andy Willie Oldham Jr. on March 21, 1954 in Powell and he preceded her in death on February 3, 1997.   They lived in Mansfield, Louisiana for several years before moving back to Briar Creek.  Over the years Maxine worked at the Madill Pants Factory, Brookside Nursing Center in Madill and Weber Aircraft in Gainesville, Texas.  She was currently helping Andy at Paradise Donuts in Kingston.  Maxine enjoyed baking, working in the garden, fishing, going to garage sells, going on cruises and she loved jewelry.

She is survived by:

4 Great grandchildren:            Carli Jane, Chloe Gene, Kelby Blake, Roman Droke

Brothers:                     Willie Bridgeman, Willis, Oklahoma

James Bridgeman, Briar Creek, Oklahoma

Sisters:                        Rebecca Shaw, Red Oak, Texas

Joann Porter, Willis, Oklahoma

Thelma McGahey, Willis, Oklahoma

Numerous, nephews, nieces and cousins.

She was preceded by her parents, husband, and brother, Jerry Bridgeman.
