Matthew Wright "Matt" Walker

Matt was born January 8, 1973, in Oklahoma City, OK, and passed away at his home in Marietta, OK on March 24, 2026, at the age of 53 years.

He graduated from Weatherford High School (Texas), and attended Austin College and Texas Wesleyan University.

Matt was kind, funny, witty and had all kind of facts stored away that he loved to share with whoever would listen.  He enjoyed fishing with family and friends in the lake located on the family property north of Marietta, OK. He loved working outside and the challenge of repairing and making improvements around his home.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Cliff and Maxine Wright of Ardmore OK and Ken and Kathryn Walker of Marietta OK.  He is survived by his parents, Rick and Pam Walker of Weatherford TX, sister Megan McNiel (husband Rickiey), son Presley Wright Walker, daughter Harper Renee Walker, grandson Greyson Wright Walker, and granddaughter Jacklyn Mae Walker.

Memorial service will be held Wednesday, April 15, 2026, 11:00AM, at Central Christian Church, 1602 South Main Street, Weatherford, TX
