Mary Frances Stephens, 76-year-old Marietta, OK resident, peacefully passed away Thursday, November 30, 2023, at Medical City Denton in Denton, TX. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 6, 2023, at the Eastside Baptist Church in Marietta with Pastor Susan Reedy officiating. Following the service, Mary will be laid to rest next to her parents in the Lakeview Cemetery in Marietta. A visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home Chapel in Marietta.

Mary began this life on April 9, 1947, in rural Love County, OK near Overbrook. She was the daughter of Jess and Leota (Tipton) Cranmore. Mary attended Marietta Public Schools and spent most of her life in the Marietta area. She worked as a waitress at The Hub, at the Marietta Sportswear factory, and at Little Brownie Bakers. Most recently, she was displaying her caring and nurturing side by babysitting for area families.

When Mary wasn't working, you might find her at her house crocheting or solving a word search puzzle. She was also known to take a few trips to the casino from time to time. Rest assured, no matter where she was going, Mary was dressed up, hair and make-up done, and she was wearing her jewelry. She enjoyed life and did many things that brought a smile to her face, but nothing brought her more joy than spending quality time with her children and grandchildren.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Jess and Leota Cranmore; three brothers, Kenneth, Donnie, and Thomas Cranmore; two sisters, Dee Powers and Joyce Jones; husband, Waine Stephens; son, Jessie "Butch" Lambert; daughter, Mary Conway; stepson, Wesley Stephens; grandson, Jeremy Lambert; and three brothers-in-law, Wayne Powers, Frank Powers, and Chuck Jones. Those left to cherish her sweet memory are her sons, Billy Lambert, Jr. and wife Linda and Bobby Spradling and wife Betty Jo; stepson, Bruce Stephens; stepdaughter, Shaderia McFadin; adopted daughter by heart, Christian Daniels; 14 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; sister, Nancy McMurtrey and husband Jerry; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Casket bearers are Steven Smithers, Benni Rossie, Nathan Hearell, Garrett Spradling, Ricky Self, and Nick Lambert. Honorary bearers are Michael Lambert, Justin Whittington, Dillon Spradling, and Wes Savage.
