Mark (Big Mark) Brent May, 54, of Kingston, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, June 27, 2026. Mark was born on May 9, 1972, in Hereford, Texas, to Ricki Alan May and Judith Joan Tremble May. He was raised in Dumas, Texas, where he attended school and graduated with the Class of 1990. On June 9, 1990, he married Lori Gay Eaton, in Dumas, Texas. Together they shared 36 years of marriage, building a life centered on family, and hard work. Mark and Lori made their home in Erick, Oklahoma, where they raised their family before relocating to the Lake Texoma area in 2024 to enjoy a slower pace of life and the beauty of the lake they both loved. Mark spent much of his life in the oil field industry, working for himself and earning the respect of those around him through his determination and knowledge. He also worked as an oil consultant for several years. Beyond the oilfield, Mark was proud to carry on his family's agricultural heritage as a fourth-generation farmer and was involved in the trucking industry throughout his career. When he wasn't working, Mark enjoyed spending time at Lake Texoma, where he found peace and relaxation. Above all else, his greatest joy came from his family. He treasured every moment spent with his grandchildren, who brought endless pride and happiness to his life.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Lori May of the home; his children, Shyli May of Kingston, Oklahoma, Braxton May and wife Tammy of Hammon, Oklahoma, Jace May and wife Melanie of Erick, Oklahoma, Cole May and wife Alli of Cordell, Oklahoma, and Payton May of Erick, Oklahoma; his grandchildren, Dustin, Aiden, Avery, Grayson, Bentley, Jantz, Drake, Kendall, Carver, Elli, Addilyn, Ryatt, and Lake; his parents, Rick May and Judy May; his brother, Chris May and wife Heath of Celina, Texas; along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and many dear friends.
