Lutheria Nell Mayo , 90, of Madill, Oklahoma, passed away on July 31, 2022 in Prairie Estates Nursing Center in Frisco, Texas.    She was born on April 20, 1932, in Jewett, Texas to the late Vernon Lee Kennedy and Lena McBride Kennedy.  Lou was raised in Jewett, Texas and later lived in Florida and Colorado before moving to Madill in 1959. She married Herbert Eugene Mayo on March 16, 1949, in Houston, Texas. They owned and operated Sportsman's Thrifty Center in Madill until retirement in 1979. After their retirement, they enjoyed raising cattle and harvesting pecans. Lou was a member of the Eastern Star and the First Baptist Church in Madill.  She enjoyed going antiquing, cooking and playing the piano. Lou welcomed friends and family through cooking and love of piano gospel music.

6 Great Grandchildren:  Sage, Bentley, Pippa, Aaron, Zoey and Gabby.

Lou was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Linda King; 3 brothers, Irby, Elmer and John Kennedy; 2 sisters, Marcelle Hinson and Elsie Adrienne Kennedy.
