Lucinda Marie Forgy, Cindy or Lulu, went home to the Lord Monday August 17th. She entered the world on December 19th, 1959 in Hampton Iowa to Audrey and Althea ( Lambertsen) Forgy.
She attended Alden Community Schools and graduated in 1978. After graduation she went to work at Scenic Manor Nursing Home. In March of 1979 she started as a dispatcher with the Iowa Falls police department. In 1992 she moved to the Greene County Sheriff's office and became supervisor. In 1999 she moved to Carroll County. In 2002 she was named Dispatcher of the year by the state for her work during a major incident. She was with Carroll until moving to Oklahoma in 2014. After moving to Oklahoma she worked for Marshall County, Johnson County and the City of Durant.
Her off time was spent caring for others and animals. She was involved in animal rescue in Iowa and Oklahoma. Her passion was saving animals. She was known in the rescue as the cat whisperer. She got called for the difficult cats, she always loved the challenge.
She is survived by her brothers Jeff (Julie) Forgy and David (Kristy) Forgy and her sister Jane Gullett. She is also survived by her two best friends Dallas (Alicia) Duflot and Grant Duflot, and many nieces and nephews as well as Great nieces and nephews and Great Great nieces and nephew. She is preceded to Heaven by her parents, brother Lee Lambertsen and many Aunts and Uncles.
