Loyd Dewight Harkins, 69, of Madill, Oklahoma passed away on Tuesday, February 27, 2024, at his home in Madill.  He was born on February 21, 1955, in Ardmore, Oklahoma to the late Calvin Ray Harkins Sr. and Mary Agnes Grantham Harkins.  Loyd was raised in Healdton, Oklahoma and in the 3rd grade he moved to Madill where he graduated High School in 1973.  Following graduation, he went to work for Uniroyal Tire Co. and retired in 2000.  Loyd married Shirley Ann Sprouse on May 23, 1975, in Madill. He was a member of the Oakview Baptist Church, and he enjoyed fishing, flying remote control airplanes, playing his guitar, golfing, and hunting.  He was an avid stamp and coin collector.

Loyd was preceded in death by his parents, and special niece, Mary Kay Glenn.
